What Members are saying

“I can't tell you how awesome it felt to close my first winning trade! Knowing that when I clicked that button, I would be able to use that profit for a much needed date night with my wife. Thank you!”

Jon. H.

“I've been doing pretty good with stocks, but learning how to trade options has taken things to a whole new level.”

Ben C.

“This has been exactly the kind of side-hustle I was looking for. I needed someone I could trust to teach me how to get more time back and stop doing side gigs that take hours of my time and eat away at my ministry focus. Plus, I make more money with this. A double win!"

Will D.

Imagine This...

What if you could earn an extra 5–10% every month from your trading account?

Not once in a while. Not someday. But consistently. Month after month. What would you do with that extra income? How would it change the way you care for your family? What would it free you from mentally, emotionally, even spiritually?

Maybe you'd finally take your spouse on that getaway.

Maybe you'd cover an unexpected bill without fear.

Maybe you'd support a missionary or fund a ministry dream that’s been on your heart for years.

Maybe you'd stop feeling like you're behind.

This isn’t about chasing riches. It’s about creating margin so you can serve God and others with peace and confidence.

Let’s build that future together!

The Prayer No One Understood: Hannah's Story in 1 Samuel

September 15, 20265 min read

I spent a little time today with a broken woman who desperately wanted a child. Sometimes life is not kind, especially in our most pained moments. As she grieved for what she longed for but could not produce, she endured the mocking of a woman jealous of her marriage. Her relationship with her husband was loving, yet more than anything else, she longed to be a mother, and he could not fully understand why.

She found herself at the altar, begging God for a son. She heaved as she expelled the bitterness squeezing at her heart. Her words, though silent, moved her lips and her body in such a way that the priest watching her mistook her grief for drunkenness.

Hannah's Grief at the Altar: 1 Samuel 1

“How long are you going to be drunk? Put away your wine.” These were the words spoken to her. Not encouragement. No prayer offered on her behalf. Not even a question. Only an accusation, followed by a rebuke.

The woman is Hannah. Her husband was Elkanah. Her rival was Peninnah. And the priest full of accusation was Eli.

(1 Samuel 1)

When Grief Looks Like Something Else

Do you find yourself resonating with some of what Hannah was going through? The emptiness of longing? Reaching for something reality tells you is unattainable? Your husband can't quite wrap his head around why you're suffering like you are, and even his kindest attempts feel like a knife in the back. Perhaps even the people of God think there's something wrong with you.

Hannah doesn't bend. She doesn't soften her posture or dilute her grief to make it more palatable to the man in front of her. She offers no shame, and she offers no explanation.

You Don't Owe Your Grief a Defense

“No, my lord,” she says. “I am a woman troubled in spirit. I have not been drinking wine or strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before the LORD.”

Notice what she doesn't do. She doesn't apologize for how her grief looked. She doesn't perform composure to be believed. She corrects the one who misjudged her. She does this plainly, without groveling, without shrinking. Hannah teaches us something here that most of us have to learn the hard way: you don't owe your grief a defense to be taken seriously. You are allowed to correct the people who get you wrong, even the ones who are supposed to know better.

We find Eli's answer much changed after that: “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition.” But notice: the blessing comes after Hannah tells the truth about herself. Not before.

Hannah's Prayer Becomes a Song: 1 Samuel 2

And here's where the story could have ended, with a woman finally understood, finally at peace, finally pregnant. But Hannah doesn't stop there. When Samuel is born, when the child she begged for is finally in her arms, her prayer doesn't stay small. It doesn't stay about her. It opens into something enormous: a song about a God who breaks the bows of the mighty and lifts the poor from the dust, who brings low and raises up. A God who is not just responsive to one woman's grief but is actively rearranging the world.

From Hannah to Mary: Luke 1 and the Same Song

The woman who was misread at the altar becomes the woman whose words echo, centuries later, in the mouth of another woman carrying an impossible child: Mary, singing almost the same song in Luke 1. These stories remain active. God returns to the same pattern again and again, because his character remains true.

The Vow Hannah Kept

Hannah didn't just ask for a son; she made a vow that whatever God gave her, she would give back. When Samuel was born, she kept that word. She weaned him, brought him to Shiloh, and left him there: “For this child I prayed… Therefore, I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is lent to the LORD.”

(1 Samuel 1:27-28)

That's the part of Hannah's story that's easy to skip past. The miracle isn't just that she got what she asked for. It's that she understood, through the entire process, that this child was never hers to keep. He was never the point. God was.

The Real Posture Behind Every Prayer

Even her grief, she didn't hoard. She wrung it out before God like water from a cloth, not because she needed a theatrical performance to highlight her pain for him, but because she trusted that only he could take something as ugly as bitterness and pour it back out as something worth singing about. That's what her song in 1 Samuel 2 actually is. Not a woman celebrating her own reversal of fortune. She's a woman who has learned that every gift, even the ones we begged for, even the ones that cost us everything to receive, have always been his.

Maybe that's the real posture underneath every prayer prayed at an altar with no one else understanding what it costs you. Not “give this to me so I can finally be whole.” But “give this to me, so I can give it back to you, and let you decide what to make of it.”

Hannah didn't stay at the center of her own story. She never really was. She let God be. And in letting go of what she'd once begged to hold, she found the only thing that could hold her.
